Real Wedding: Mikayla + Ron’s North Star Gatherings Wedding

Well…this one was an incredibly special wedding day for me to be apart of!

I met Mikayla a few years back while she was photographing a wedding that I was coordinating up in Breckenridge. I remember thinking how sweet and cool she was and was always hoping that I would get to work with her on another wedding day. What I didn’t know was that the wedding I would get to work with her on was her own wedding.

When I got the message from Mikayla to see if I was available, I about jumped out of my chair. Every inquiry is special to me, but when another vendor that got to watch how you work on a day wants you to be apart of their own day, that is on another level of special! I was also so happy to get to work at North Star Gatherings. It is a venue that I get to work at a lot each year and every wedding I have planned there are some of my favorites.

For Mikayla and Ron, their vision was simple but impactful: a celebration that felt intimate yet grand, with the natural beauty of the Colorado landscape as the centerpiece. They opted to go with the sage greens that sit so beautifully in the Colorado summer and it turned out to be the perfect color palette. Another special part of their day, their sweet daughter! What a absolute burst of energy this girl is, I had as much fun with her as I did with her parents on the wedding day.
